Experience the enchantment of the midnight sun and the awe-inspiring fjords, offering a one-of-a-kind nature and wildlife encounter. Immerse yourself in a whale watching adventure enveloped in the magical summer sunlight and the beauty of everlasting daylight. This remarkable journey is available from June 15th to August 14th, starting at 20:30 and spanning approximately 2.5 to 3.5 hours.

Your whale watching expedition begins at our ticket office located by the Oddeyrarbót pier in the heart of Akureyri city, where you'll exchange your pre-paid voucher for admission tickets. The mystical Eyjafjord Humpbacks, along with the occasional Minke whales, porpoises, and dolphins, grace our waters since whales never fully enter a state of sleep, allowing for continuous observation of these majestic creatures.

To enhance your experience, we often turn off the boat engines to bask in the tranquil sounds of the water, the whales, and the birds, making the Midnight Sun tour the perfect way to unwind after a busy day or kickstart a delightful evening in town. For those peckish or thirsty, our onboard bar menu offers light snacks and drinks, including our recommended Whale Punch, a rum-infused hot chocolate.

While we pride ourselves on a high success rate in spotting cetaceans, marine life sightings can be unpredictable and vary with food availability along our shores. Should no whales or dolphins be sighted during your tour, we offer a complimentary ticket valid for two years, giving you another opportunity to witness these magnificent animals.

Please note that the unpredictable Icelandic weather may prompt the captain to adjust or cancel the tour for safety reasons. Rest assured, in such instances, we will promptly contact you using the details provided during your booking process.
