Itinerary
Experience the pristine, crystal clear water of Silfra as you dive between the Eurasian and American continental plates. Upon your arrival at Thingvellir National Park, a guide will provide insights into the unique geological and cultural history of Silfra, followed by an in-depth briefing of the dive site. Assistance with your dry suit and dive equipment setup will be provided. Explore the four main parts of Silfra: the Big Crack, Silfra Hall, Silfra Cathedral, and the Silfra Lagoon. After the dive, warm up with hot chocolate and biscuits, cherishing the unique underwater scenery offered by Silfra, which includes over 100 meters of underwater visibility thanks to the glacial water being filtered for decades through underground lava rock. This single-dive tour will take about 3 hours, with 30-40 minutes spent in the water, offering an experience found nowhere else on Earth.Diving in Silfra

Important Notes
Experience Silfra's pristine, crystal clear water while diving between the Eurasian and American continental plates. You'll start your adventure at Thingvellir National Park, where your guide will share the unique geological and cultural history of Silfra before giving a detailed briefing of the dive site. Assistance with your dry suit and dive equipment will be provided before exploring the four main parts of Silfra: the big crack, Silfra hall, Silfra Cathedral, and the Silfra Lagoon. Warm up after the dive with hot chocolate and biscuits.
- Participants must be a certified diver at the level of PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent.
- Must have dry suit diving certification and a logged dry suit dive within two years of the Silfra tour date OR have at least 10 logged dry suit dives within two years of the tour date and provide written proof from a diving instructor of these dry suit dives.
- Read, sign, and follow the directions on the Diving Silfra Medical Statement.
- Participants aged 60 and over must have the Diving Medical Statement signed off by a doctor.
- Sign our liability release form at the start of the tour.
- Be between 150cm and 200cm in height.
- Be between 45kg and 120kg in weight.
- Fit within our dry suit size chart.
- Be at least 17 years of age (signature of legal guardian required for under 18-year-old participants).
- Be physically fit.
- Be ready to wear a sometimes tight and constricting dry suit.
- Be able to communicate in English.
- Not be pregnant.
