Reykjavik's residents contribute to an unofficial yet staggering show, lighting up the sky with about 500 tonnes of fireworks—an incredible sight to behold.
Choose your preferred spot on the deck, snug in our cozy overalls, or enjoy the warmth of our heated indoor saloon, all while marveling at the dazzling fireworks. With party hats on and a complimentary drink in hand from the bar, bask in the lively atmosphere, engaging music, and the company of fellow travelers. If luck is on our side, the Northern Lights may grace us with their presence, adding to the night's magic. Our 'celebration at sea' occurs annually on New Year's Eve by the shores of Reykjavík, offering ample views of the capital's magnificent fireworks from the sea. Upon arrival at the Old Harbour, our crew will welcome you onboard the cruise vessel, where you'll receive a glass of welcome drink. Sail into the bay to watch the dazzling fireworks show, brought to life by the residents of Reykjavík and the surrounding areas. With around 500 tonnes of fireworks set off, it's a spectacle for all senses.
Choose to stay outside on the deck, wrapped in comfortable overalls, or take a seat in our heated indoor saloon. Enjoy complimentary drinks, snacks, lively music, and the company of fellow travelers as we bring in the New Year. If conditions are right, we might even catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights!
As midnight approaches, join us for a countdown and toast to the New Year. After enjoying the fireworks, we'll return to the harbour, leaving you free to explore downtown Reykjavík.
